We are painting Easter eggs- you are warmly welcome to visit the workshops ”From the painted chest”.
We are painting Easter eggs- you are warmly welcome to visit the workshops
”From the painted chest”.
On Saturday, April 17, 2018, the Song and Dance Ensemble "Kujawy" will introduce us to the Easter mood. All this is due to the next meeting within the framework of the workshops "From the painted chest - We are painting eggs".
The egg is a dominant feature of Easter, carefully painted by a housewife in various ways, then blessed in a solemnly decorated basket. Easter celebration starts from consuming an egg which is the object of Easter plays in "bitki" and traditional ”kaczanie” or rolling the coloured eggs. Decorated in various ways, Easter eggs, collages are a central decoration of the Easter table. Although in shops you can buy ready-made Easter eggs today, no eggs have such charm as hand-painted, and the period before Easter is a good time to save the tradition of painting eggs.
The workshops of painting eggs in kuyavian patterns will be led by a folk artist Krystyna Zagrabska.
The organizers provide necessary materials.
The workshops will be enriched by artistic performances of the Song and Dance Ensemble "Kujawy".
Tickets: 10 PLN at the ticket office, Cultural Centre ”Brewery B.”, since 7 March 2018
Time: 09:30-11:30
Place: The Chamber of Tradition of the Song and Dance Ensemble "Kujawy"

WINTER CAMP IN PORONIN 2018
WINTER CAMP IN PORONIN 2018
From 18th to 24th February 2018, we worked hard at the training camp in Poronin. Spisz was overrun! We worked under the supervision of Maciej Mielczarski, and on the last day of our stay we were assisted by Mrs Maria Wnęk- a choreographer and an expert on the Spisz folklore. There was also enough time for spending free time in a creative way. A sleigh ride, a dance party in a highlander's inn with live music, variations on the snow, an ice castle, competitions for points, Miss and Mister selection of ''Kujawy”- these are just some of attractions. This year's Miss was Sabina Ćwikowska, and Mister Jakub Brzeziński. We would like to thank our carers: Mrs Anita Rogiewicz and Mr Arkadiusz Piasecki and the head of our band, our Maciej Mielczarski. It was great!
